Twenty-four women filed civil suit against Watson seeking compensation for their interactions with him Mut 23 Coins. As of now, Watson has settled 20 of the lawsuits, but left four in limbo. Watson's hearing for disciplinary action with the league began on Tuesday, June 28 and was presided by retired US Federal Judge Sue Lewis Robinson. Robinson was appointed the league's disciplinary agent jointly with both the Madden NFL 23 along with the Madden NFL 23PA, as per the current collective bargaining agreement.
As per this current CBA, Watson and the Madden NFL 23PA have three days for appealing the decision in written form and to Madden NFL 23 Commissioner Roger Goodell. Prior to the ruling, Watson and the Madden NFL 23PA and Watson stated that they would follow the ruling of the arbitrator.
As per Rob Maaddi at the Associated Press league sources, the league suggested there was a possibility that Madden NFL 23 was pushing for a minimum one-year suspension for Watson, while Watson's attorney, Rusty Hardin, and his legal team werenaturally -insisting on no suspension. Maaddi added that the league would be open to a suspension of six to eight games simply to avoid the appeals procedure.
